WHY

COMMONWEALTH

As a multinational organisation that interacts through governments, business, and civil society the Commonwealth is uniquely well placed to tackle the global security challenge. Comprised of 56 nations, spread across every continent, and bordering every ocean, the Commonwealth can harness its strength in diversity to help overcome those security challenges that have an impact at both the local and international level.

The time is now right to seize the opportunities presented by the Commonwealth community to further the fight against instability. Through deeper cooperation the Commonwealth's global network has the potential to mitigate and eradicate security threats. In doing so, we can deliver ever wider prosperity.
